why-happiness-needs-to-be-trained

Confidently saying: “I am happy and fully aligned with myself and the life I’m living.” takes one thing in particular. Despite consistency, work and clarity about what you want, it takes courage. I think sometimes we underesimate how much our fears hold us back. We might won’t even realise we have certain fears, because they became so normal, so natural in our lifes. Are you actually courages enough to live your happiest life?

It might be important to say; happiness is a feeling and like you wouldnt feel angry non stop for days or weeks, we cannot expect to feel happy all the time. What we can achieve though, is a constant happiness about our lifes and ourselves. We won’t always feel that intense joy, but we can get to a state of fullfillment.

But in order to get somewhere we first need to know where we’re heading towards. Without a destination we can’t find the right way. I’m not saying the destination cannot change along the way, but without an objective we will just wander around feeling lost.

So be courages enough to set the right goals. Goals that seem too big—the ones your parents might not align with—but you do. We sometimes forget that life isnt infinite. One day it will be over, it might sound cheezy but we only have this one chance to go for the life we want. Do not let fear hold you back, ending up with regret.

It might be a long path to happiness and fullfillment, but wherever you are right now—stay consistent, it will be worth it.

To stay in that state requires work. It’s like a workout routine. After sticking to your gym plan and your diet, you will at some point have the body you wanted. Now you need to continue that routine in order to keep that body. It’s the same with your mental wellbeing, your lifestyle, your state of happiness. You constently need to work on your mindset and stick to your routine.

Mindfullness, gratitude, reflection, journaling—it might sometimes feel overwhelming and time consuming, but if we do not stick to mental training we will get out of shape.

Its okay to have phases where we let ourselves go, thats normal and like we probably wont have a sixpack all year long, we will struggle with our mindset from time to time. The most important lesson after all is to be gentle with yourself. You deserve to be working on becoming the best version of yourself—BUT you also deserve to be accepting and gentle with your ups and downs.
